Well usually my Mondays aren’t typically like a Monday because I don’t work a 9-5 job. Today was slightly different.

I work up after not sleeping the best, got ready went to the DMV— AN HOUR WAIT! I have NEVER had to wait that long. Whatever, I wasn’t in a rush so I was just thankful I had all the paperwork I needed AND it only took an hour versus two. 

I then went to Costco where I spent more than I needed to... which wasn’t part of the plan. I was just going to go in for something I had ordered. 

I got home and was like... YAAAAAS NAP TIME— because I work over night and need to be able to make it of course. Then I realized it.... I had been wearing my underwear on inside out!! How this happens— I have no clue. But at least it wasn’t a type of underwear where it would be super obvious that you were wearing inside out. So I feel better about my life. 


On another note... my Christmas tree looks BOMB!!! This year I got all new decor and did gold and red! 


And here is my sweet baby girl who looks so adorable and sweet! I ❤️ her so much! 

I freaking love everything about Christmas!!!

The struggle with self worth (the journey)

Warning: long post ahead. Probably hard to follow but that's how this works. Okay, so about five years ago, you know I was in counseling for struggling with abandonment issues. My dad was an alcoholic and even though that felt completely normal, that's all I knew. Well fast forward to now-ish and I started in a relationship and the reality of the situation became clearer. It was clear to me (and likely my significant other) that I definitely needed to go back to counseling.  I made an appointment with my counselor that I had used prior because A) I love her and she's fan-freaking- tastic, B) she knew my history and we had a great rapport.  I'm unsure if you've (whomever you are reading this) has ever been to counseling and heck, maybe it's different for everyone, but it can be hard to express yourself. One thing I don't share easily, or really to just anyone, is that I went to counseling for about three years during nursing school and after. The part about going to counseling isn't the part that makes it challenging to share, but the reasons why I thought I needed to go to counseling. Talking about this and opening it up will make me extremely vulnerable to anyone who reads this, however, if it helps someone struggling like I did, feel like I do now after counseling, then my vulnerability is well worth it.  It wasn't an easy choice to decide that I needed to go to counseling. It was a lot of heartache, depression and extreme anxiety. However, on top of that, I had a good cousin tell me it's not normal, and a good friend pretty much tell me - I think you have issues, I think you need to talk to a counselor, you may even have 'fear of abandonment'.  So back up, what kind of issues did I have?
